DUNLAP — Shawn Kemp is expected to make a return appearance at Concord High School’s McCuen Gym on Jan. 10 when the Minutemen host Goshen in boys basketball, CHS athletic director Dave Preheim said Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Concord is looking to bring back as many players as possible from the 1988 and 1990 state runner-up teams that night.

Kemp, a 1988 CHS graduate, may also be available to assist Concord in hosting a kiddie camp the next morning, Jan. 11, Preheim said. More detailed information for that event will be released closer to the date.

Kemp, Elkhart County’s all-time leading scorer and the only four-time Elkhart Truth All-Area first-team selection, went on to star in the NBA without ever playing collegiately, making six All-Star appearances during a 14-year career that concluded in 2003.
