DUNLAP — Concord High School senior boys tennis doubles standout T Cunningham has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and playing careers at Marian University in Indianapolis, according to the CHS athletic department.

Cunningham was a team captain last fall, his third season on the varsity. He and partner Trevor Warren earned All-Northern Lakes Conference, all-district and honorable mention all-state nods.

“I chose Marian for the Indianapolis opportunities, business program and the committed coaching staff and team,” Cunningham said. “I want to keep excelling on and off the courts and have fun competing while contributing to the team and improving my own game.”

A four-year scholar athlete award winner and an All-State Academic pick, Cunningham plans to major in business with an international and marketing focus.

As part of the Knights tennis program, Cunningham will be reunited with 2012 Concord graduate Jason Denton, an NAIA second-team All-American this past season as a freshman. Marian (18-8, 6-2) is a member of the Crossroads League.
