Baseball: Oblinger rolls up numbers; Tully takes no-no into sixth

Eric Oblinger lashed two home runs and two doubles, scored five runs and drove in two as Jimtown outslugged visiting Northern State Conference baseball opponent Culver 18-8 in five innings.

At Elkhart, Tanner Tully took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and wound up give up two singles while striking out nine — including six in a row at one stretch — as Class 4A No. 6 Central (14-1, 9-1) blanked visiting South Bend Clay 2-0. Casey Ianigro homered for the Blazers.

At Middlebury, Blake Fry smacked a homer and plated four runs

as Northridge (11-2, 7-0) routed Northern Lakes Conference foe Goshen 16-2 in five innings. Austin Moniot drove in three runs and scored three and Sam Troyer also scored three times for the Raiders.

At Nappanee, Reese Misura belted a three-run homer as part of the four-run third inning and winning pitcher Stephen Pinarski went the distance and struck out nine as visiting Concord (8-3, 5-3) blanked NLC opponent NorthWood 6-0. Dakota Simon had three hits and scored three runs for the Minutemen.
