Prep Softball: Pletcher comes to rescue for Jimtown

Northridge's Kistler, Goshen's Caouette each go 4-for-4.

Kaylee Pletcher of Jimtown fired five innings of shutout relief with nine strikeouts and backed her own cause with a pair of doubles as the Jimmies rallied from an early deficit for a 5-2 victory over host LaVille.

At Middlebury, Hannah Kistler went 4-for-4 at the plate as Northridge beat Memorial 8-2 to improve to 7-1.

At Syracuse, Taylor Caouette had a 4-for-4 day as well, leading Goshen past Wawasee 12-1.

In the NECC Tournament, Fairfield (7-1) earned a 6-5, 10-inning win over Eastside to advance to Monday’s 6 p.m. title game against visiting Lakeland.
