Kingsmen pull away to beat Washington

MISHAWAKA —Jordan Geist scored 23 points and Conner Sowders added 14 Friday as Penn dominated the fourth quarter and knocked off South Bend Washington 74-60 in the Northern Indiana Conference.

The Kingsmen, now 3-0 in the NIC, led 52-48 at the end of the third quarter, before outscoring the Panthers 22-12 in the final eight minutes to pull away and post the victory.

Austin Torres had 12 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots for Penn. Chris Sleepers hit five 3-pointers and led Washington with 23 points.
