NAPPANEE – A Nappanee church and an Elkhart service organization are joining forces to provide free meals to locals in need.

Twice a week, Faith Mission will prepare meals that will be served at the Nappanee Church of the Brethren by its members, our news partner WNDU reported. The meal's first installment was on Thursday, Jan. 9.

"The main objective is just to meet the needs of the people in the community," Pastor Byrl Shaver told WNDU.

Everyone is invited to partake in the free meals, which will be served from 5-6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at the Nappanee Church of the Brethren on 301 Mach Drive.
