St. Vincent de Paul Parish hosting parish festival Saturday

The parish festival will include the ETHOS Science bus, a garage sale, raffles and more family-friendly events.

ELKHART — St. Vincent De Paul Parish is hosting its annual parish festival on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The festival includes games and activities for all ages, including a dunk tank, bungee run, a bounce house and pony rides. The ETHOS Science Bus will pay a visit to the festival, providing educational activities to children, according to a press release from the parish. Other events include a prince/princess contest. There will be raffles for a $1,000 cash prize, an iPad and an e-reader.

Food will include homemade Hispanic dishes, pizza, hot dogs, elephant ears and more.

A garage sale, bake sale and produce sale will begin at 9 a.m., with the festival running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

St. Vincent de Paul parish is located at 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart.

 The Passover seder plate features several foods that each have their own symbolization. Passover this year is celebrated from April 14 to April 22, 2014.
