NAPPANEE — Nappanee Missionary Church, 70417 S.R. 19 N., Nappanee, will host “Unpacking Atheism,” a free worldwide simulcast from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the church’s gymnasium. Guests should use Entrance E on the west side of the parking lot.
Apologetic veterans Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg host the simulcast as they interview Dr. William Lane Craig, a leading defender of Christianity. Strobel, Mittelberg and Craig will discuss how Christians can best answer central claims made by atheists. In addition, they’ll disclose inside stories of Craig’s landmark debates with atheists and skeptics around the world. They’ll also interview other guests with stories of coming out of atheism to follow Christ.
Strobel, a former atheist, is the former award-winning legal editor of The Chicago Tribune and is a New York Times best-selling author of more than 20 books. Mittelberg is a best-selling author, sought-after speaker and a leading strategist in evangelist and apologetics-oriented outreach. His newest book, “The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask,” is based on a survey of 1,000 Christians.
Craig is a research professor of philosophy at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. He has earned doctorates from the University of Birmingham (England) and the University of Munich, and has taught at Trinity Evangelical Seminary and Wheaton College. He also is an international lecturer and debater and licensed minister in the Missionary Church.
