I would like to know who's job it is to trim the weeds, grass and trees that line the river banks in Elkhart.
Take a drive down Riverside Drive from Beardsley Avenue to Lexington and see how much of the river you can no longer see for the overgrowth,. Then go down West Boulevard to the hospital and notice that you can no longer see the river below. It's a shame to have an asset like this and not take care of it.
Also, I'm concerned about all the dead trees in Rice Cemetery. If they fall and damage the headstones, will the city pay to replace them?
