Our pragmatic and mild-mannered CEO and commander in chief has executed fewer executive orders than any two-term president in more than 100 years. To date, President Obama has 183 executive orders, compared to Ronald Reagan’s 381 executive orders and Harry Truman’s 907 when he had a “Do-Nothing Congress.” So, with Obama issuing less than half as many such orders as his predecessors, how does he qualify as a dictator?
Let us list some of the lies against the president: He is foreign, he is not a citizen, he hates America, he is a socialist, he is lawless. However, he is a Democrat, a Hawaiian, a Harvard graduate, college professor in constitutional law, a former state senator and U.S. senator (four years), with more experience than Abraham Lincoln, who only served one term as a U.S. congressman and time in the Illinois Legislature.
Obama currently ranks 19th out of the 44 presidents in use of executive orders. And, by the way, the Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order.
