St. Vincent de Paul parishioner will miss Father Kohrman

I know I can speak for our parish when I say he leaves us with a strong legacy of renewing our faith, providing a voice for the un-born and poor, and challenging us to stand clear and strong on our Catholic principles in the face of government sanctions against religious liberty.

On Sunday, May 25, Father Glenn Kohrman announced that he was departing St. Vincent's de Paul Church in Elkhar for a new assignment at Holy Family Parish in South Bend. Father Glenn has served our faith-filled community for five years and he will be missed.

I know I can speak for our parish when I say he leaves us with a strong legacy of renewing our faith, providing a voice for the un-born and poor, and challenging us to stand clear and strong on our Catholic principles in the face of government sanctions against religious liberty.

I would urge everyone to make sure we send this good man with the servant's heart to his new assignment confident and with all the good wishes of a grateful St. Vincent de Paul Church community. As he said many times in his homilies, it is easy to be natural but strive to be supernatural in our love of God and Jesus Christ and our fellow man.

Godspeed, Father Glenn.
