Government sees our rights as privileges

Annexation is so simple. If the city wants to annex a house and the homeowner wants to be annexed, they get annexed. If the homeowner does not wish to be annexed, the city could assert its authority and be first in line when the house comes up for sale, purchase the house, and sell it to someone who wants to live in the city. This only works where we have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

If you have a government that conducts annexation like Vladimir Putin, my heart goes out to you. Can the county annex land from the city?

People used to have rights. Then someone in government spread the notion that driving is a privilege. See how easy it is to start taking rights from people? Do we have the right to a trial by a jury of our peers, or is it a privilege? Does anyone have a copy of the Constitution with a Bill Of Privileges? It’s a sad day when you can’t decide if you want to buy health insurance. Think of all those who died for our freedoms.
