Photos of the Week

We've been busy with trains and plenty of prep sports. It was also time for First Friday in Goshen, which featured cycling races throughout downtown. A special train made repeated trips through Elkhart County this week and was photographed at a few different locations.

A busy week draws to a close, but you can recap the week with our gallery of images by Jennifer Shephard, J. Tyler Klassen and James Buck.

There were plenty of sports and Friday was the First Friday cycling races in Goshen. But maybe the biggest item of interest has been the restored Nickel Plate 765 steam engine that pulled into Elkhart County Thursday. Many train buffs were spotted around the county looking for a glimpse of the old engine. The train made repeat runs from Elkhart to Bryan, Ohio over the weekend and train watchers were eager to get a look each day.

Here is a video of the train heading north on Thursday.
