I am writing in response to Ron Chupp’s Oct. 23 letter to the editor, “Using racial slurs as teams’ names is offensive.”

To call anyone childish, immature and ignorant for having an opinion is amazing. It sounds like the very same name-calling that Chupp is accusing Elkhart Truth sports editor Bill Beck of supporting. To think only your opinion is correct takes quite an ego.

Everyone on Earth is hurt by some words or actions, and everyone at sometime has spoken them, unfortunately. Lighten up and be politically reasonable, not politically correct.

Sensitivity training might be in order to cure the name-calling.
