Rezoning land Don’t rezone; MOR/ryde can move somewhere else

Here we go again! My husband and I moved to Oslo Township in 1986. One of the first meetings we attended was for the change from A1/R1 to M1 for property east to C.R. 113 from C.R. 13. Then developers wanted M1 from C.R. 113 to C.R. 15, excluding the area around Eastwood School and neighborhoods; next came land south of C.R. 6 to C.R. 17. When will it stop?

Now is the time for the county commissioners to do their job and not let idle threats keep them from it. We have heard all the promises and plans to protect the property owners from these developers and manufacturers. Sadly, they are far from being true.

Let’s keep property zoning the way it currently is. There is plenty of land already zoned M1 or E3 in the area that MOR/ryde can move into. Check out all the empty buildings west of their current location. We’re sure they could find several buildings to meet their needs.

Property owners deserve a proper buffer zone from M1 to E3. Let our children enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. Keep the woods behind Eastwood so future generations can use it like our children did.
