Election For the next four years we will again be praying for God’s help

For four years we prayed that God would protect us and our country from the people we had put in power to lead us. Our prayers were answered. We survived.

With all the lies and broken promises, they managed to get us in the toilet, but we survived because God prevented them from pushing the handle.

Then we showed our appreciation by giving them another shot — four more years to finish what they started, insuring that our kids, and their kids and their kids will never have the opportunities that we have had. Thankfully, Indiana had no part in this.

Some voters even succeeded in making same-sex marriage legal in their states even though God declared it to be an abomination many items. Sometimes it makes one wonder how they got here. How did they get to the point where they think more of themselves and less of the world around them? Could this be what Jesus really meant when he said, “Forgive them, Father, for they don’t know what they are doing”?

Since the election, many business owners have said on TV that they will have to have layoffs, reduce their help to part-time or shut down completely because of Obama’s health care bill and all the added taxes included.

Has anyone ever wondered who actually had the time to write these thousands of pages included in this bill that no one even had time to read before it was passed? Nancy Pelosi said, “We must pass it to find out what’s in it.”

Yes, for the next four years we will again be praying for God’s help, but this time we will be asking him to please not give us what we asked for or what we deserve, and we promise to try to do better next time.
