ELKHART — Elkhart police are looking for a woman involved in a pharmacy robbery Wednesday evening, Jan. 22.

According to police, a woman driving a white or gray Chevy Impala with Illinois license plates approached the pharmacy drive-thru at CVS, 3600 Cassopolis St, around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday and handed the pharmacist a note. The note indicated the woman was being held against her will and she was in danger if the pharmacist did not fill a bag with presciption drugs, said Lt. Mike Sigsbee.

The pharmacist gave the woman an undisclosed amount of drugs, including the painkiller oxycodone, and she drove away, Sigsbee said.

The woman was last seen driving northbound on Cassapolis Street in the area of the Simonton Lake Drive-In. There may have been two passengers in the back seat of the vehicle.

The woman was described as having blonde hair and glasses and had a scarf wrapped around her face.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Elkhart Police Department at 295-7070.
