Goshen man taken to hospital following single-car crash

A Goshen man was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash Friday night.

GOSHEN — A man was sent to the hospital following a crash Thursday night, Nov. 21, southeast of Goshen.

Javier Fraga, 26, of Goshen, is in stable condition at IU Health Goshen Hospital, according to the hospital’s spokeswoman.

According to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Fraga was driving east on C.R. 46, east of C.R. 29, when he drove left of center and off the north edge of the roadway, hitting a tree.

Officers were called to the scene at 10:40 p.m.

Fraga was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital, where he was treated for a fractured hip and ankle. Officers also found during their investigation that Fraga was intoxicated.

Fraga’s car had extensive damage from the crash.

No citations were issued Thursday night, but officers continue investigating the crash.
