ELKHART — One person was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with arm and neck pain after a two-vehicle accident Monday, Sept. 9, on C.R. 12 and West Heritage Drive.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigators said Andres Guerrero, 43, of Elkhart was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer north on a private drive south of C.R. 12. He pulled into the path of Colleen Terry, 56, of Elkhart, who was driving a 2008 Huyndai Sonata east on C.R. 12, west of Heritage Drive.
Terry was unable to avoid a collision and the force of the crash sent Guerrero’s vehicle into a fence on the north side of the road. Terry was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Guerrero was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.
