A man was taken to the hospital with a possible fractured knee following an accident.

A motorcyclist was hurt by a fiberglass wall that came off a truck in front of him.

The man was taken to the hospital with possible fractures to his knees and left foot shortly before noon today, June 19.

According to a crash report from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Shane Parks, 30, of Bethel, Vt., was driving north on S.R. 13, just north of C.R. 38, behind an “unknown type of box truck,” when a fiberglass side wall loaded on the truck came loose and flew back. The accident happened at about 11:38 a.m., according to the report.

Parks was knocked off his motorcycle, injuring the lower part of his legs. The motorcycle had damage to the left side.

Police have not found the truck or the driver as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the report.
