Elkhart teenager suspect in Eddie Johnson homicide case
The Elkhart Police Department is searching for a man accused in the shooting and death of an Elkhart man in April.

ELKHART — Police have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of an Elkhart man April 30.
The Elkhart Police Department has obtained a search warrant for Leeshawn Nathaniel Rodgers, 19, of Elkhart for the murder of Eddie Johnson.
Rodgers is considered armed and dangerous, according to a press release from police.
Johnson was shot and killed near the corner of Cleveland and Sixth streets on the south side of Elkhart. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Elkhart County coroner said Johnson had died of multiple gunshot wounds, without giving out more details because of ongoing investigation.
