BRISTOL — A man died Friday evening, April 5, after a truck he was working on fell on him.
Mark Troyer, 31, was found unconscious and not breathing at about 7:38 p.m. at his home in the 55000 block of C.R. 27 near Bristol, according to a report from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
He was transported to IU Health Goshen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Elkhart County Coroner John White said Troyer died as a result of asphyxia. The coroner ruled the death accidental.
Troyer is survived by his wife, Beth Troyer, and four children, Autumn, Kylie, Ashlyn and Kain, according to his obituary.
Troyer was a 2000 graduate of Northridge High School. He worked at Sapa Extruders and drove a truck for Resolute Logistics.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where an 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, funeral will take place. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Troyer family for Troyer’s children.
