GOSHEN Child OK after falling from second floor

A child received only scratches after falling from the second floor of a residence Friday, March 29.

GOSHEN — A child who fell from a second-story window wasn’t injured other than a few scratched, according to police.

Police were called around 10:30 p.m. Friday to Arbor Ridge Apartments, where it was reported a 2-year-old girl had fallen onto some shrubs below the window, according to a report from the Goshen Police Department. The child was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital, where she was evaluated and released. She only received scratches from falling on the shrubs, according to the report.

There have not been any arrests made at the time, but the incident is under investigation by the Department of Child Services and the Goshen Police Department.
