Police are calling a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Bristol this week suspicious.
The Bristol Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire at 53586 C.R. 27, Bristol around 8 p.m. and contained the fire to a room of the home. Around 2:44 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to the same residence after a fire was reported again. The fire destroyed the home the second time.
Bristol Fire Chief Fay Kemp said it was not determined what caused either of the fires, nor could they determine the origin of the fire the second time.
Capt. Jim Bradberry, public information officer with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, said the fire is considered suspicious, and an investigation is ongoing.
