Growing boat maker hosts job fair
Nautic Global Group, a local boat maker, looks to add 100 jobs and is hosting a job fair on Monday, Dec. 9.

A local boat maker looking to add 100 jobs will host a job fair Monday, Dec. 9, in Syracuse.
Nautic Global Group will conduct the job fair from 2 to 5 p.m. at its Syracuse plant, 300 E. Chicago St. The company also invites applicants any time at its Elkhart headquarters, 4310 Middlebury St. Jobs will be added at both plants.
Over the next six to eight months, Nautic Global will hire fiberglass specialists (rollers, mold repair, fiberglass repair, choppers, gel coat, grinders), upholstery, assembly, aluminum TIG welders, wire harness builders and riveters. The jobs pay from $10 to $17 an hour, depending on the position.
The company’s products include pontoon boats and deck boats, sales of which have grown 54 percent since 2010.
Nautic Global makes Hurricane deck boats, Rinker express cruisers, Captiva sport boats, Godfrey pontoon boats (Sanpan, Aqua Patio and Sweetwater), Polar Kraft aluminum fishing boats and Parti Kraft pontoon boats. For more information see www.nauticglobalgroup.com.
