GOSHEN — Todd Driver became the Lippert Components Inc.’s chief operating officer as management roles change at Lippert, sister company Kinro and parent company Drew Industries.
A Lippert employee since 1998, Driver became operations VP in 2009 and has been handling more than half of the recreational vehicle/manufacture housing supplier’s operations, including chassis, slide-outs, furniture and accessories. He was most recently vice president of operations.
His elevation comes as Lippert’s top management members are taking on new roles. Lippert CEO Jason Lippert was recently tapped to add duties as CEO of parent company Drew Industries. Scott Mereness, President of Lippert, was elevated to president and COO of Drew.
”Todd is invaluable to our team,” said Jason Lippert in the company’s announcement of Driver’s promotion. “Todd’s ability to identify the right people for the position in which they can be successful, is just one of his many talents and, as a result, he has been a great team builder at LCI for many years. During 2012, our revenue grew $220 million and we added over 1,000 employees. As we continue to seek growth opportunities, we want excellence at the highest operational level, and Todd adds that to our team.”
In the same announcement Mereness said, “Coming off a year for which our revenues exceeded $900 million, we recognize the importance of having strong, effective managers at all levels of the Company and, in particular, in our top leadership positions. Todd’s proven track record epitomizes what we look for in our leaders.”
Driver said company goals include identifying areas needing improvement and making changes. “We intend to be the very best customer-oriented team in the industry,” he said in the announcement.
In addition to the company’s surging growth over the last couple of years, its founder, Lawrence Lippert — Jason Lippert’s grandfather — will be inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame this summer.
