 Longtime Elkhart Central assistant coach Ric Wiskotoni was named head coach of the Blazers' boys and girls tennis teams Thursday, July 17, 2014.

His home-schooling schedule has afforded him flexibility. His faith helped him overcome recent setbacks.

 Danny Boussom, 16, of Goshen beat a Notre Dame recruit and a current All-Big East tennis player during the USTA Midwest Team Cup tennis event June 13-15 in and around South Bend.

The 16-year-old prospect beat the Irish-bound defending state champion as well as Marquette University’s co-MVP.

Goshen teen, who has won at the event six straight years, allowed just one game leading into the final, and won that 6-2, 6-2.

The tennis player went 32-13 at No. 1 singles over his final two seasons with the Minutemen.

 Danny Boussom of Goshen earned both singles and doubles titles in a USTA Midwest Level 3 Memorial Day weekend tourney.

Sophomore Jason Denton and freshman T Cunningham are on the first-ever Knights team to earn a bid to the NAIA Men’s Tennis National Championships.

 Jason Denton (pictured) and T Cunningham are two Concord High School graduates that are part of the NAIA Nationals-qualifying Marian University men's tennis team. The Knights are scheduled to play Tuesday, May 13, in Mobile, Ala.
