Marcus Moore, the new coach at Jimtown High School, made a big impact on Jason Ridge at Columbia City.

He used to visit friend Kyle Johnson in Baugo, and says he grew up in a community with a similar mindset in Columbia City.

Part of a family of coaches, the Jimmies will be his first high school head coaching post. He played in the 4A state title game in 2004, the same year Jimtown won the 2A crown.

Drew Schermerhorn topped Jonathan Wilkinson for the 3-point crown while Matt Crowl prevailed in the dunk contest Thursday, July 24, at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. Seven teams also took 3-on-3 honors.
