Elkhart Central Blue Blazers went 32-1 overall, 14-0 in the Northern Indiana Conference and won it all in Class 4A.

 Elkhart Area Career Center machine trades student Trevor Werker of Northridge uses a lathe as he sands a baseball bat. Several students from the center won awards recently at a skills and leadership conference in Indianapolis.

The team recently earned fifth place at the Indiana High School Forensics Association State Tournament.

Four Elkhart County girls were named Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association Academic All-State first-teamers.

 Biz Bomberger, who is in seventh grade at Bethany Christian School, shovels snow as part of a PE assignment on March 12, 2014. Bethany students are doing school work online rather than having yet another snow day.

A teacher at Bethany Christian Schools asked her students to shovel snow and post a picture for PE credit. It's part of the "virtual assignments" Bethany teachers put together Wednesday.
