Construction of new Nappanee neighborhood begins this week

Craftsman Village will break ground and hold an open house for phase one of the project from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the neighborhood’s main entrance near the intersection of South Jackson and Newcomer streets. The first phase of the new residential development will include the construction of eight home lots, and the second phase will feature 14 more. The development will be the first National Association of Home Builders Green Certified Neighborhood in the area.
Participating in the groundbreaking ceremony will be developer Tim Saylor, the owners of Reliance Construction, Nappanee Chamber president Jeff Kitson and local elected officials.
In case of rain, the event will be held at the Nappanee Chamber of Commerce, 302 W. Market St.
