ELKHART — Lee Laidlaw, 71, of Elkhart, passed away Sept. 5. He had been in declining health for several years.
Lee was born March 11, 1942, to the late Frank and Dorothy Laidlaw and was raised in Elkhart.
He graduated from Elkhart High School and Tri-State College with an accounting degree. While at Tri-State College he joined Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.
Lee enjoyed reading World War II history and owned many books about the war. He was also an avid Cubs fan.
Lee was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Lori (Andrew) Laidlaw.
He is survived by his brother, John (Colleen) Laidlaw of Elkhart; sons Robert (Kim) Laidlaw of Las Vegas and Andrew of Toledo, Ohio; nieces Karen Titus and Kristine Laidlaw; nephew Bryan (Carmen) Laidlaw; and aunt Georgeanna Kalman.
Per his wishes, there were no services. His remains were cremated and buried with his parents.
