The Wall of Heroes honors the war dead from Indiana and is located at 508 Oakland Ave., near Franklin Street on the city’s west side.
The ceremony is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Neese, a state representative in the Indiana General Assembly, announced recently that he would retire from the state legislature and run for mayor as a Republican.
Incumbent mayor Dick Moore, a Democrat, has not announced whether he will seek a third term.
