Peoples forum: Shouldnt the Osceola bridge project come later?

The three-way stop at C.R. 20 and Ash Road should have been upgraded before the bridge project. That has always been a nightmare on a good day! A little more asphalt would have helped to allow for turn lanes and straight-through lanes. Now itís total disorder, but some people feel itís OK to drive through private property. Apparently the county thinks itís OK.
People will block intersections because they cannot understand that you need to stop and wait for your turn at the sign before moving through.
The state claims they are monitoring the problem. Yep, that they are. Did they notice that if you count the cars that get through the light before it turns red, itís maybe five, plus or minus a few that run the light, northbound? It would have been nice if by adjusting the timing of the stoplight to allow more cars through before it turns red again.
How about blocking the road completely going to the bridge? Then cars will not go through the local business driveway and line up on 933 to get the jump on the people who are waiting their turn at the light to go south over the tracks. Maybe painting arrows on the roadway to help people figure out what part of the road they need to be on would help. Why donít they close off 933 completely to non-local traffic at Ash and 933? Why donít the counties and state upgrade the area around the railroad crossing before starting McKinley and Ash Road?
