Man arrested in Milford after police find $51,000 worth of cocaine and $23,950 in cash

Jose Gonzales, 61, was arrested on federal charges possession of cocaine, a schedule II controlled substance, with intent to deliver and distribution of cocaine, a schedule II controlled substance, according to a press release from the Elkhart County Prosecutorís Office.
The Elkhart County Interdiction and Covert Enforcement (ICE) Unit received a tip approximately two months ago about a person selling cocaine. During the investigation, police learned that cocaine was being sold from 13367 N. 100 E., Milford.
The ICE Unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at the home with Goshen Police Departmentís ERS Team.
While searching the home, police found ď464.7 grams of cocaine, $23,950 in cash and several other items that were indicative of drug distribution,Ē according to the press release.
Gonzales was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail, where he is being held, according to the press release.
