GOSHEN — Esther (Wagler) Boshart, 91, formerly of Wayland, Iowa, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.
Funeral services have been set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Wayland, with the Rev. Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Wayland.
Beatty Funeral Home, Wayland, is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. A memorial in the name of Esther Boshart has been established to the Greencroft Foundation.
Mrs. Boshart was born June 17, 1922, in Wayland, the daughter of John S. and Ada (Hirschy) Wagler.
She was united in marriage to Dennis Boshart on Sept. 21, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2005.
She was a faithful member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, and she served as a Sunday school teacher and with the church sewing ministry. She and her husband farmed southeast of Wayland, raising turkeys and livestock and farming grain. She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking, and entertaining her grandchildren on their many trips to stay with grandpa and grandma.
Survivors include her sons, Wesley (Carol) Boshart of Eureka, Mo., Ronald (Elizabeth) Boshart of Centennial, Colo., and Rodney (Mary) Boshart of West Des Moines, Iowa; daughter Peggy (Ric) Milton of Goshen; 11 grandchildren, including local grandchildren Kristen Milton (Cory) Watt, Jassica (Donald) Brown and Dr. Bethany (Andrew) Wait, all of Goshen; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters Myndell (Dillon) Boshart, Ruth (Victor) Miller and Dorothy (Clarence) Wenger, all of Wayland, Ardith (Mervin) Eigsti of Lakewood, Colo., Mary Ellen (Einer) Stoltzfus, Kaye (Mahlon) Schweitzer, both of Kalona, Iowa, and Verla (Merle) Conrad of Sarasota, Fla.; and sister-in-law Myrtie (Earles) Wagler, Wauseon, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Earles and Elmer; sister Lois Short; infant son Dean Ledru Boshart; and a daughter, Berdene Boshart.
