RV shipments show gains in June

The report by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association showed that the 174,871 RVs shipped to retailers in June was 12.8 percent higher than June 2012, according to Bill Baker, senior director of communications for the RVIA.
Motorhome shipments have jumped 33 percent, from 19,425 units this year compared to last year’s 14,576. In towable shipments, figures show a 10.7 percent gain, rising from 140,412 units to 155,446.
Van campers were one of the few categories to show a significant decrease, with a 16.3 percent decrease since last year.
So far this year, retailers received 174,871 RVs, up 12.8 percent from last year, according to Baker.
