GOSHEN — Margaret L. Troyer, 86, died early Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Kosciusko County to Clifford and Leona (Miller) Welty.
She married Donald R. Dorsett, in Goshen in June of 1955. He preceded her in death in 1967.
She later married Willard G. Troyer in 1968. He passed away in 1987.
Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie L. (Art) Kidd of New Paris and Christine A. (Kevin) Zentz and Lynee K. Dorsett, both of Goshen; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Erma Baker, Delores Harmon, Phyllis Sowers and Laurabelle Bliele; and two brothers, Gerald and Willard Welty.
Mrs. Troyer was a member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion and a life member of Goshen Moose Lodge. She spent many years as a waitress at local restaurants including County Seat, Bob Evans and Plain & Fancy, and she hosted at Gordy’s.
She was president and secretary of her bowling league and earned a place in the Bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed golfing, dancing and cooking.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. The Rev. Lenny Krebs will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
