Peoples Forum: When it comes to motorbikes, loud is not cool

My brother is one of the best builders of motorbikes with class and taste.
We have both ridden motorbikes from a young age and have put some of the finest rides on the road. We owned and road Harley-Davidsons before they were cool. We believe in classy-looking bikes that people look at and say, “Now, that is sweet!”
One of my brother’s bikes was the centerfold in a national bike magazine and won more than 24 awards. Having said that, not one of those fast and tasteful bikes broke the noise laws.
I wonder if the people who ride loud bikes think it makes them tough. I think it just shows that class and taste are something you’re taught, not born with.
You don’t need to be loud to have a bad bike. And it sure doesn’t make people think you’re tough. It has the opposite effect; it makes you look tasteless and is not appreciated.
So come on, people. Get with the program, Loud is not cool — it’s illegal.
