CCM students collected over 350 food items (photo provided).
The class that collected the most was able to push Bob Whitehead, Executive Board President, in the pool at the YMCA.
Each student, including their teacher, Danielle Runge, took turns pushing him in, suit and all. Afterwards, the students went to deliver the items to Faith Mission.
Altogether the elementary students had collected over 350 items.
The students were so excited about this service project that now plans have been made for each class to serve lunch to the residents at Faith Mission as the students put in to practice the lesson of “Love thy neighbor”.
