MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Karvel Anderson and Robert Morris University have learned the date of their second-round NIT men’s basketball game, a contest that will be nationally televised.

The eighth-seeded Colonials (24-10) face No. 4 seed Providence (18-14) of the Big East at 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. The game will be shown on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Providence advanced by beating Charlotte 75-66 on Wednesday, one night after RMU and Elkhart native Anderson shocked overall top seed Kentucky 59-57.

The winner of Monday’s game moves on to the NIT quarterfinals March 26 or 27 against the survivor of the March 22 Arizona State-Baylor contest.
