GOSHEN — Lippert Components announced it will have exclusive rights to distribute Denver Mattress Company mattresses to the RV and horse trailer markets.

The mattress company has been trying to expand into the RV business, sending an Elkhart-based representative to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s trade show in Louisville last November. They offer at least eight different RV-specific models.

Under the agreement announced Tuesday, March 19, Lippert will warehouse and distribute Denver Mattresses to RV and trailer manufacturers.

“This allows us to provide our OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) a residential mattress with a well-known, recognizable brand name,” said Ryan Smith, vice president of Lippert Interior Group.

Lippert’s partnership with Denver Mattress is in response to a recent market trend in the RV industry for OEMs to offer residential style furniture with high name recognition in their products, according to the RV supplier. 

“Adding a well-known brand such as Denver Mattress to our line is beneficial because it allows RV and horse trailer OEMs to sell consumers the same type of mattress they may have purchased for their homes,” said Shannon Angle, operations manager of LCI’s mattress facility. “You really can’t have more of a residential appeal than that.”
