ELKHART — Kem Krest received recognition as one of General Motors’ best global automotive suppliers during an awards ceremony in Detroit on March 13.

GM recognized 83 suppliers globally. This is the third time Kem Krest has received a Supplier of the Year award.

“This award is the direct result of two great businesses working together toward a common goal. Our team’s commitment and our customer’s support have provided a platform for long-term success. I am once again humbled by our organization’s ability to consistently perform at high levels. This award is further validation that our leadership and business model provides great value to the industries that we service,” said Amish Shah, president of Kem Krest.

Kem Krest manages GM’s aftermarket chemical and accessory programs as well as servicing 22 other companies in the automotive, agricultural/industrial and defense industries.

In addition to receiving the GM Supplier of the Year 2012 award, Kem Krest was granted a five-year contract extension in February 2013 due to continued efforts to meet and exceed GM needs. “GM is a key Kem Krest customer and this contract provides us the opportunity to invest further in our business, people and community. We value GM as a customer and a long-term partner,” said David Weaver, CFO and co-owner of Kem Krest.
