The city of Elkhart will once again dye the Elkhart River green Saturday afternoon to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

The dyeing of the river will begin near McCarthy’s on the Riverwalk at about 1 p.m.

The coloring will be done by the city fire department and will use environmental tracing dye approved by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, according to a statement released by Mayor Dick Moore.

McCarthy’s is at 333 NIBCO Parkway just north of Waterfall Drive.
