Police seize $150,000 of cocaine from Goshen home, arrest homeowner

The Elkhart County Interdiction and Covert Enforcement Unit (ICE) was assisted by the Indiana State Police and the Goshen Police Department’s ERT team in executing a search warrent at 2611 S. Main St., according to a news release from the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s office.
The officers executed the warrant after a two-month investigation into illegal drug trafficking at the home.
Police arrested the homeowner, Martin Garcia-Rodriguez, 32, and seized $8,500 cash and approximately 140 grams of cocaine powder an estimated street value of $154,000.
Garcia-Rodriguez’s wife and three children were also at the home at the time of his arrest.
Garcia-Rodriguez faces a preliminary charge of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, an offense which carries a possible 20- to 50-year prison sentence.
