ELKHART — Beatrice Fardulis, 85, of Elkhart, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Holy Cross Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, following an illness.
She was born in Boston on June 1, 1927, to Frank and Rose (Blanda) DiGirolamo. They preceded her in death.
She was the beloved grandmother to three grandchildren, Stephanie Frazier, Jonathan Tucker and Vickie Spencer. Four great-grandchildren, Hank Spencer, Donnie Spencer, Jared Tucker and Hayley Tucker; one brother, Joseph DiGirolamo; and a sister, Rosemary DePastine, survive. Also surviving are her son-in-law, Tom Tucker, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cecelia A. Tucker in 2004; and a brother, Carmelo DiGirolamo in 2003.
Beatrice was employed by Associates, South Bend, and later at LaSalle–Dietch as an accountant until her retirement in 1988 after many years of service.
She graduated from Mishawaka High School with honors. She loved watching sports on TV and cooking large Italian meals for her family.
A memorial service for Beatrice will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
