Goshen police investigate possible homicide; 2 bodies found (UPDATED)

Goshen police were called to the scene of a shooting this morning, Monday, March 4, and it appears to fatal for two people.

Dispatchers confirmed that police were called to a scene near the intersection of Fifth and Clinton streets at 7:47 a.m. Monday, March 4 for a shooting.

An ambulance was at the scene, but left. Two bodies remain in the parking lot as police investigate. A bag is near one of the bodies, which are covered with sheets.

Kim Mumaw, a stylist at the nearby First Impressions salon, said she was working with a client about 7:45 a.m. when she heard four gunshots.

Fifth Street is blocked north of Lincoln Avenue as police gather evidence. They have not yet confirmed any details and said they would issue a press release soon.

Misty Luley, who later passed by the scene, said it’s usually a quiet neighborhood.

“Nothing ever happens on this side of town,” she said. “We hear teenagers getting rowdy around this area, but nothing like this ever happens.”
