Police confirm Goshen shooting was murder-suicide

GOSHEN — Police confirmed a man shot and killed a woman before taking his own life Monday morning, March 4.

Police were called to the 100 block of N. Fifth Street at about 7:45 a.m. for a possible shooting.

According to a press release from the Goshen Police Department, officers found a 51-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman motionless at the scene.

In the press release, the Goshen Police Department confirmed both individuals knew each other and that the man shot and killed the woman before shooting and killing himself.

Officials have not released the names of the deceased pending notification to their families.

Police said they won’t release more information at this time as they continue their investigation.
