Two Elkhart County teens win five of six awards at Distinguished Young Woman of Indiana Competition

KOKOMO — Two Elkhart County teens took five of the six awards announced Friday night in the preliminary competition of the Distinguished Young Woman of Indian Scholarship Program.

Two awards were presented in each of three categories: fitness, poise and talent.

Madison McArt of Elkhart won awards for fitness and poise.

Alex Hochstetler of Middlebury won awards for fitness, poise and talent.

The final awards, including the announcement of the top 10 and the crowning of the Distinguished Young Woman of Indiana, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 at the Hammes Auditorium at the Indiana University Kokomo campus.
