ELKHART — Charles E. Ganschow, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in his residence.

A long time resident of Oak Park, Ill, he was born Nov. 12, 1940, to Margaret and Walter Ganschow.

He married the late Mary L. Ganschow (nee Tyne) June 16, 1973, who preceded him in death June 14, 2007, after nearly 34 years of marriage.

He was devoted father of Daniel (Ann) Ganschow of River Forest, Ill.; fond brother of Diana (Michael) Garrity of Oak Park; proud grandfather of Patrick, Connor, and Declan; and beloved uncle to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Walter Ganschow and James Ganschow.

He worked for many years in the aerosol industry at Ethel Corporation in North Riverside, Ill., American Home Products in Bridgeview, Ill., and ended his career in the industry at Accra-Pac Inc. in Elkhart.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service at noon Saturday, March 2, 2013, at St. Luke Catholic Church, River Forest.

Private family burial will take place in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
