ELKHART — Mary A. Lorenz, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at 7:38 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 22, 1935, in Coatesville, Pa., to Thomas Howe and Irene Howe-Jefferies.

On April 17, 1983, in Barrington, Ill., she married Dale A. Lorenz.

Survivors include her husband, Dale A. Lorenz of Elkhart; one son, Steven Bolich; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bolich and Christopher Bolich; and one great-grandson, Jaxon Connor, all of St. Augustine, Fla.; and one sister, Barbara Johnson of Edgewater, Fla. Also surviving are her cat, Mandy; and dog Max.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepfather, John Jefferies.

Mary was previously employed at RCA as a secretary in Lancaster, Pa., for many years.

She was a very spiritual person. She was a former member of St. Loukes Church in Lancaster and American Legion. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sports and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Cremation will take place. A private family service will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to ASPCA in her honor.

Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
